Bringing ‘The Look’ to Life
Believe it or not, budget is not the most important factor when helping a bride create the look she wants for her wedding day. For me, the first factor is listening to what the bride tells me, and catching her vision for her event. I am great at listening to my brides – last year I helped nearly 700 brides achieve their dream weddings. While my bride is talking about colors, themes and venues, the creative process gets going. Often times a bride brings in fabric and color swatches, which is great – but about 75% of my brides leave with a completely different vision. While I’m listening, I might say: “can I make a suggestion” – and so many brides are grateful for my expertise of Michigan wedding venues, fabrics and trends. Yes, it can be overwhelming, especially with so many magazines to flip through and ideas out there. But I help them decide what linens should (and shouldn’t) match the bridesmaid’s dresses, and what should be accent colors. We talk about fabrics that are appropriate for the season and location of the wedding, because the time of year and time of day are important factors that are often overlooked. Once we discuss all the factors involved in a bride’s special wedding day, then we talk about how to achieve the look they want within the budget they have. Every bride is special to me. I make sure that their wedding day is fabulous!
