7 Fun Food Ideas for Your Winter Wedding

November 26, 2020 by Bob Sargent

Winter weddings are often fun to plan. If you can take away the snow’s cold weather and monotonous color, a winter wedding will leave you feeling like you just came straight out of a fairy tale!

From the dressing to the food, there are many things to do when planning a winter wedding. And as it is winter, it means that you have more room to be spontaneous!

The cold weather is perfect for comfort food. Here are fun food ideas for you and your guests to enjoy during your winter wedding, from hot chocolate to tomato soup and much more!

  • Macaroni and Cheese

Mac and cheese is comfort food for many. They can be presented in small cups served in small biteable sizes, so they end up looking attractive and delicious at the same time!

  • Hot Chocolate with Toppings

Hot chocolate is recommended during winter. Added with toppings, this is a perfect treat for your guests. Add some candy, peppermint, and whipped cream to complete the treat. Hot chocolate will warm you up and get you in the mood for a lively, memorable wedding party.

  • Hot Tomato Soup with Grilled or Baked Cheese

Hot tomato soup with grilled or baked cheese is perfect for cocktail hour. The perfect size of soup and cheese with fruits or nuts will get you and your guests started just right.

  • Serve Your Guests a Roast Dinner

A roast dinner is one of the many options available for a winter wedding main course. Providing a wide range of meat is best so that your guests can choose which they prefer.

  • Potato Buffet

This is quite the tradition for a winter wedding as different toppings are provided for guests to choose from; tuna, chili, beans, etc. Your potato buffet bar can be made exciting when a wide range of toppings is provided.

  • Serve Vegetables

While this may not be conventional, serving vegetable foods like a salad with cheese is something to consider if you do not want to serve too much comfort food to your guests.

  • Desserts

For dessert, go for something hot and delicious. Sticky toffee pudding, apple pie, and some warm custard are some excellent options to choose from for dessert.
